Power Products > High Frequency Inverters Albacom’s high frequency inverters operate from any internationally available
mains power supply and produce a high-frequency sinusoidal output in the 20kHz
to 40kHz range. Intended for applications in induction heating, corona systems,
ozone generators and other industrial processes, Albacom’s high frequency
inverters use resonant power conversion technology to provide a clean sinusoidal
output at high efficiency and matched automatically to the resonant frequency of
your load. Zero-current switching using modified pulse width modulation (MPWM) control
of robust IGBT switching devices provides 10kW or 20kW of reliable controlled
power to your process. Albacom’s resonant design takes care of frequency
matching and puts an end to “tuning” adjustments during your setting up of your
system. Output power can be varied down to 20% of maximum. After initial system commissioning, zero-current switching continues to
provide an automatic frequency match to your load, taking system power level and
load variations into account without any user intervention. Fast-acting over
current protection takes care of the inverter and your load during fault
conditions. Albacom’s resonant inverter is designed for the highest reliability, with all
power-circuit components de-rated to military systems standards, 100% product
testing, and every single inverter unit subjected to a full power burn-in before
shipment. The standard packaging configuration is 19-inch racking, with integral
cooling fans. This supports easy integration with your system but, where
necessary, a custom mechanical configuration can be offers, including your
choice of cooling technique and connectors. Front panel controls, remote
controls, and your individual requirements for control and monitors can all be
accommodated. The basic form of the inverter provides a sinusoidal output of around 600
volts peak-to-peak. This output voltage can be applied directly to your load, or
a matching transformer can be provided to generate the voltage you need.
Standard products are offered for 5kV, 10kV and 20kV peak to peak but a product
